Our pergolas come standard with glulam posts. These posts are made by glueing four 2x6’s together. This is a much stronger method than using a single solid post, which has a tendency to warp or twist over time.

Glulam posts combine 2x6’s together with a glue that creates a bond stronger than the wood itself. These posts are then sanded and the corners rounded so the finished post measures 5" square. Small hairline checking (cracks) are to be expected with all treated pine lumber.
