The Solid Wall is our most private option that entirely closes-off a portion or side of the structure. Besides privacy, this panel can be useful for many other purposes too such as hanging outdoor art or obstructing an unwanted view. This solid wall extends all the way to the top of the pergola and down to the bottom of the posts. The panel is made of 1 x 6 tongue & groove planks, built on a 2x4 frame. The planks match that of the pergola (cedar, treated pine or vinyl).

A Pergola can be as open or as private as the designer can imagine. If you need a little privacy, the possibilities are nearly endless for privacy panels, walls, and railings — either solid or lattice. We offer a variety of options, but if you have your own idea, your project advisor will do everything they can to make it a reality.

Note: If you order any of the privacy panels, be sure to discuss in detail the size of the panels, as they will be sent pre-assembled, and will fit fine if you assembled the pergola using standard locations for the posts, unless you specify different dimensions. You may want to have the privacy panels in a knocked down version that will give you the ability to cut and assemble them to fit.
