Pergola Site Preparation
A
pergola
is a truly versatile structure. It can be attached to a new or existing patio or deck. The posts need to be set on a footer or directly on a concrete pad, and our special stainless steel brackets will anchor your
pergola
to the concrete pad or deck.
It’s very important that your
pergola
sits on a level surface. So, if you’re building a new patio, make sure the locations for the posts are level. If your existing surface is not level, you may need to cut down the posts of the
pergola
.
Remember, the size of your
pergola
is measured to the outside corners of the posts. The overhanging beams and runners may extend 16-18" beyond that. This is important to keep in mind and to consider any surrounding fences or walls.
Quick and well packaged delivery. Product is absolutely beautiful.
