Why We Do It

We created Fifthroom.com to help people fall in love with their homes. A picnic table on the back porch isn’t simply a table top sitting on four legs. It’s a hub of activity: a place to eat, a place to gather with friends and family, a place to share stories and tell jokes. We don’t just sell furniture and gazebos, we create spaces for family get-togethers and afternoon naps.

Building on the idea that a home is not just four walls and a roof, the Fifthroom is a true haven within the house. This backyard living area is intended purely for entertainment and recreation; neighborhood barbecues and shared lemonade on the porch swing. As our name suggests, the majority of the products we carry include patio furniture and backyard structures, and are meant to create luxurious and comfortable outdoor living spaces. But, we don’t see why every room in your house can’t be a fun and relaxed Fifthroom.

The sigh of peaceful relief that follows a cup of coffee in your favorite porch swing is no different than the sweet cedar smell that warms your senses when you pull winter blankets from the cedar chest on that first cold night in November. Whether it’s in your bedroom or under your pergola, don’t just use your furniture, love your furniture.
